Hard Copy Study Guide

Your primary resource and core content. You will go through this multiple times using the highlighter method. It is the foundation of everything.

Hard Copy Q&A Book

Also core content. Do not treat this like a random question bank. It contains information that never made it into the study guide. Go through it beginning to end alongside the study guide every round.

Online Study Guide & Q&A Book

Digital versions of your hard copy materials. Searchable, scrollable, with note-taking capability. Keep these open alongside your hard copies so you can click image links instantly.

Online Video Course

Follows the course study guide almost exactly. Primary use: Round 4 (the recapture round). You can speed it up or slow it down as needed.

Audio Course (MP3)

Also follows the study guide content. Use it anywhere and everywhere: commute, gym, grocery store, cooking. Listen beginning to end on repeat. Do not sync it with your current chapter.

It sounds like a lot, but each resource has a specific time and place. You are never using all of them at once. The system tells you exactly when to use what.

The Highlighter Method

This is not traditional highlighting. You are identifying what you still need to spend time on. Anything you already know well, you skip. Each round uses a different color so you can see your progress.

The Core Rule

Only highlight what you feel shaky on or do not know yet. Never highlight something you already know well. This flips the script: mark what you still need to work on, so every round gets smaller and faster.

The Five Colors

Round 1: Yellow

Highlight anything you need to see again. Maybe 70-80% of the book. Slowest round.

Round 2: Pink

Only look at yellow highlights. Re-highlight in pink only what you still have not locked in.

Round 3: Orange

Only look at pink highlights. Even less material. Noticeably faster.

Round 4: Green (Recapture)

Different: go back to 100% of the material using the video course alongside your books.

Round 5: Blue

Only green highlights from round 4. After this, cycle blue-highlighted material until exam day.

Be aggressive in rounds 1-3. If you think you will remember something, let it go. You can always recapture it in round 4.

Round 4: The Recapture Round

As a “low risk” test-taker, you are in a great position to pass the pediatric boards. However, it is still extremely important that you use the RIGHT study materials. Below are some things to consider before purchasing your study bundle.
