Pediatrics Board Review: A Resource for Pediatric Residents and Pediatricians

Ashish Goyal, MDHi! My name is Ashish Goyal, the CEO and chief mentor at Pediatrics Board Review. I'm so excited to help make preparation easy for you, as you get ready to take on your board exams. I created Pediatrics Board Review (PBR) to do one thing… help pediatricians and pediatric residents pass the boards on their FIRST try. While these materials started out helping pediatricians pass their initial certification exam given by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), we have grown to help thousands pass recertification, in-training, and even international medical exams. PBR is a blog, a study guide, a social media study tool, and best of all, it's a community that you rely on for all of your pediatric questions.

I've heard so many stories about pediatricians failing the boards up to 3 times, and it's horrifying. THERE'S NO REASON THE AVERAGE PEDIATRICIAN CAN'T PASS! Trust me… I didn't do so well the first time, but I'm an average guy with an average brain, and I ended up passing the pediatric boards by  130 points. Before PBR became a site, it was my strategy to passing my own boards after failing on my first try. I realized that the way I was studying (reading overly dense content, not spending enough time practicing questions, etc.) only made it HARDER for me on the boards. So I needed to create a different approach; one that was more efficient, effective, and ultimately fail-proof.

That system became the multi-modal approach; our signature PBBR method that utilizes short, concise materials, repeatedly taught across multiple modes (audio, video, text) to ensure mastery over the topics.

The reason I've started this site is to help pediatric residents and pediatricians get rid of the confusion and the mystery that surrounds the boards through teaching this method. I'm especially passionate about efficiency in studying and the use of a systems-based approach to limit the amount of time I have to spend in front of the books. I don't have a great memory, but I do have an odd ability to create some great memory aids. Studying for these standardized tests can consume your life. I promise… if you follow my advice and let me show you the “what to study” and how to study it efficiently:

  • The confusion and frustration will disappear
  • The efficiency of studying with the PBR's materials will give you time to spend with your family and friends
  • Instead of being filled with anxiety, you'll actually get to relax a little and enjoy the summer
  • You WILL pass the boards! And that's a 100% guarantee.

Studying for the ABP exam was tough, and taking it the first time was one of the worst experiences of my academic life. I've created PBR to help you avoid the mistakes I made, and then navigate the exam with confidence and success. Once you know what to study, and how to study it, passing the boards really isn't that hard.

If you are ready to study for the pediatric boards in the most effective, efficient way possible, check out the links below, and click the one that best applies to you:

Hi,

I am planning to take the General Pediatric MOH UAE exam in Prometric Exam centre. This is going to be a computer based exam. Can PBR help in this?

Thank you

Hi Reem,

Pediatricians from Australia, India, the UK and many other countries. They have been quite happy with the materials and said they helped immensely. You may want to start by purchasing the ONLINE BUNDLE and then upgrading within 48 hours to the Ultimate Bundle if you like the materials that you see online. We can then mail out the hardcopy books.

Best,
– Ashish
